No doubt you have heard the commercials for African Lion Safari. You have probably heard the tag line – Go Wild. I can’t believe I have never been there. Thanks to Know How Tours, I finally took advantage of experiencing an adventure there. It lived up to the hype. The number one reason to go is to watch the Baboons who get unclose and personal with you. They are hilarious and climb all over your car. You have the option of riding in one of the air-conditioned comfortable white buses and that is what our group did.

Such cool walking sticks available in the gift shop.
T-Shirts that have been painted by Asian elephants are available for sale.
It was fun to watch the animals run around but the elephants put on a show and I felt that was tough on them.
The number one reason to go to African Lion Safari – the baboons. Funny and happy primates.

The park itself is huge (740 acres). After a full day at African Lion Safari, I was sure I would be exhausted. Turns out I wasn’t that tired. That’s because I took the train, boat ride, and the bus through the Safari.  Don’t miss the boat and train rides. They are nice and calm. You receive a lot of information from the friendly staff workers who wear khaki shorts and shirts and look so authentic in the safari gear. You hear a lot about conservation and all the ways the park is helping secure these amazing animals stay alive for generations to come. There are plenty of places to eat and you can pack your own too. It’s a couple hours away from Buffalo but I’m feeling thankful I finally got to African Lion Safari. I went wild. It’s not a zoo. It’s a little more.

Sincerely, Trish

I’ve never been and always wanted to go. I see the commercials all summer long. I loved the movie. ROAR.
