Come inside the 11 story Cathedral of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Los Angeles called Our Lady of the Angels. The concrete color is reminiscent of sun baked adobe walls of the California missions of the last 500 years.

This is the 1st Roman Catholic Cathedral to be erected in the United States in 30 years. Construction began in May 0f 1999 and finished in the Spring 2002.

The large tapestries that grace the walls are created by John Nava. The tapestries depict the 135 saints around the world from all different centuries including Pope John XXlll. I found the most moving part were the anonymous people interwoven with the saints who represent the holy people that live in our midst,
