Life is made up of seconds. We can’t help but notice how time slips away. Life is like a mystery too, we really have no idea how long we have here on earth even if we do everything right. This is my second edition of my 1 Second a Day for a year movie. This phone app really helps me to look back with true amazement and deep appreciation at the past year that I randomly originally began on April 9, 2017. This year and this version was filled with wonderful new adventures, beautiful weddings, including our own Evan Jr, our first Kentucky Derby, my first trip to the Smoky Mountains, our beautiful home improvement including the all important fireplace, trips to NYC and DC, our daughter’s move to Charlotte, and more travels to Quebec, Montreal, and Gettysburg. Let’s not forget the trip to Los Angeles, California and Nashville, Tennessee for family weddings. Yet it’s the simple lunch and coffee dates with friends, going to mass, the dog walks around the block, visits with my mom that fill up my day to day life. Buffalo led the country this year with snow and you will see plenty of evidence of that. Mostly you will see how much I enjoy hanging out with my husband, my devotion to my faith, our dogs, my mom, my family, and friends. Not everyday is a vacation. Some days are struggles. Some days are better than others but there is something good in everyday. But living a life committed to destination kingdom come will mark your life in untold ways.

The 4 sisters together in California -Summer of 2018
The Statue of St. Monica in Santa Monica was lovely to see.

Buffalo led the country with the most snow fall this past winter. It didn’t stop us from daily walks.
Our first Kentucky Derby. It poured. Rainiest on record.
Our first cruise and it hopefully won’t be our last.

Sincerely, Trish
