Immaculate Conception School in Wellsville, NY is having a school mass for our beloved daughter Natalie Lewis. The principal handed me the mass card at Gala 22:6 the Catholic Education Celebration for the Buffalo Diocese Feb. 1, 2018. The School mass will be held May 10, 2018 on the Feast of the Assumption. How beautiful. What gift is better than a mass that unites Heaven and Earth? This little school means so much to us. Last year, at the Catholic Education Dinner, a beaming 7th grade girl named Colleen Hennessy won the inaugural Natalie Mattimore Lewis Kindness Counts Award. This year, two spirited and wonderful 7th grade boys from the same school won the same award. They are joyful, mature and so personable. Nail Rigas (the youngest of 6) and Jack Byrnes (the oldest of 3) This little school, 2 hours from Buffalo, in a small town where my mom was born. Coincidence? It’s hard for me to grasp it all. This town is actually know for it’s hot air balloon festival. Coincidence? The children are so precious. Luke Russert even posted on his instagram account a picture with Jack and Nial. Last I looked the picture had over 1,057 likes because he wants to see kind leaders with character. Thank you to the principal of Immaculate Conception school Nora Burdick for nominating these delightful young men. My dear readers, surrender to God’s will. God’s plan is not to spare us from difficult times. His plan is to be with us in our difficulties. As long as we are on earth, let us live the golden rule. Thank you to all who made this evening possible.
